On formerly mundane afternoons, the quest to save King Candy from the clutches of the evil Lord Licorice transformed into a mad dash through the enchanted realms of Gumdrop Mountain and Candy Cane Forests. A Candy Land theme celebration is ideal for all ages since this legendary game has been passed down through many generations.
We found the best Candyland theme party ideas by searching Vukhoidecor for business events, birthdays, and other milestones. Here are some best ways to turn your party into a confectioner's paradise, courtesy of some of the best party vendors in the business: from colorful decorations that mimic this sugary landscape to rich sweets.
We reside in a tiny town where resources are not readily available. However, after some trial and error, we created the gigantic lollipop out of paper mache and had it painted in pastels. Brilliant!
Although it was my first time doing it, I wasn't really a master of this skill, hence I wasn't happy with the paper mache.
Actually, painting Styrofoam boards is a superior technique to make the enormous candy props. We only became aware of it, though, when we were almost finished. By then I wanted to toss the props and start again.
Our paper mache props were very lovely, though. And I relished it. Just that I would have saved time to make additional props if I had simply considered the styrofoam from the start.
We mostly constructed the props out of pool noodles. The concept originated on Pinterest and Youtube. To get the pastel hue, though, we painted it white first, then coated it with newspaper strips (paper mache), and last applied several pastel colors.
You might also forget about the newspaper. I've seen a tutorial on utilizing a pool noodle as a pedestal. They filled the crevices between the noodles with some kind of adhesive and a spray paint primer.
First, pierce a pool noodle with a piece of wire (we used wire from a hanger) to make a candy cane ornament. Form the noodle like a candy cane. Then wrap the noodles with newspaper strips, fastening them with a glue mixture (a 1:1 ratio of water to white glue works well).
Give it many hours to dry. When the coated noodle dries, paint stripes of red and white to resemble a candy cane. Put on a clear coat of sealer once the paint dries for extra durability and a glossy appearance. Using this approach will produce a durable and joyous candy cane decoration.
Every massive lollipops required at least three pool noodles. All you have to do is twist it into spiral shape. Glue gun the connection. As this produces unpleasant odors, do it in a highly ventilated place. I think a contact cement can be used in place of a glue gun to attach and secure the spiral. Give it newspaper strips to cover and paint as needed.
Put glue over the lollipop and sprinkle with epsom salt to give it the sweet coated appearance.
Split pool noodles in half and use a glue gun or contact cement to wrap them around a cylindrical tube (we used the inside of a saran wrap). Paint and newspaper covered it.
Actually, the gum drop frame is a KFC pail. After adding paper clay or chopped papers to the bottom of the bucket, cover it with newspaper. First, paint in white, then the chosen colour. Mix iridescent glitter and epsom salt to form the sugar coating.
Its construction is a cardboard cylinder, around two inches thick. Painting it mint green, cover it with news paper strips. For the appearance of a sugar coat, apply some glue to the surface and scatter some epsom salt.
For this I used two-ply corrugated board. I crisscrossed a string like in the image below to create the wafer's texture. Lay newspaper over it and then paint. I also topped it with insulating foam and sprinkling pastel-colored cut-out paper.
We painted a corrugated box to use as the cupcake paper liner. Actually, layers of cutout sheets make up the cupcake's core. I did a paper mache covering it with saran wrap. Duplicate it in pastel pink. We used this hardware-store insulating spray foam for the frosting. Order this online at Home Depot. I also topped it with a pink-painted styrofoam ball that resembled a cherry.
These props are the most tiresome. Yet, I assure you, the work is worthwhile! This is the prop about which I am most proud, I would say. Furthermore, as making this is a difficult task, I wrote a separate post on how to make a giant ice cream.
There are three dwellings or buildings planned originally. A windmill ought to be rotatable. Though I have no time to do it, I am enthusiastic about it.
To suit the Candy Land Themed Party, I divided the castle I constructed for the Frozen Themed Party into two and added some icing and sprinkles.
These items will enable more people to join in the Candy Land themed event. As most of the audience is made up of children, bulk personalized keychains with different sweet patterns will be loved by children and attract more participation. Cheap and practical, keychains make great promotional or party favors.
